Our stewardship of our God-given gifts, beginning with life itself, is a daily, year-round and lifelong endeavor. Giving back of our time, talent and treasure to the God who creates, loves and sustains us is both a vital spiritual discipline and a joy.
If you have not yet made a pledge to St. Mark’s for 2021, we ask that you take this into your prayer during Lent, and if you are able, please make a gift or pledge. Each gift matters greatly, and that we give matters as much if not more than the amount we give.
This has been a season of transition and challenge for us all, and we know many have suffered losses and difficulties. St. Mark’s is no exception. But WE are St. Mark’s at this particular moment, and together, with God’s help and yours, we can continue to live into and out of Jesus’ commission to spread the great good news of God’s love for ALL of us in and from this special faith community.
Our Finance Committee and Vestry are working hard to make a budget for the coming year amid the many uncertainties we continue to face individually and as a church. We can help them by letting them know our financial stewardship intentions.
As part of your church family this year, Bill and I will be making a financial pledge. Please join us, and please know that we are most grateful to all of you and to God for each of you.
Gumbo sales are on Fridays during Lent from 4 pm to 6 pm.
The price is $12 per quart.
