St. Mark's COMMUNITY PUMPKIN PATCH is held each October on the St. Mark‘s grounds. The community is invited to visit The Patch without admission to frolic among the pumpkins, take pictures at the various photo ops, shop for pumpkins, purchase St. Mark’s FAMOUS PUMPKIN BREAD, enjoy the petting zoo, and get into the Halloween spirit.
St. Mark's FOOD PANTRY is held on the last Saturday of the month at noon. We open our doors to distribution of food to those in our community who are in need.
Support animals are always welcome at St. Mark’s.. St. Mark’s annual Pet Blessing is a special day each October when pets are invited to attend and receive a blessing.
Anyone who has ever assisted with St. Mark’s FOOD PANTRY distribution knows that most of the visitors to the PANTRY are seniors who are doing what they can to stretch their retirement incomes.
Just as important as helping them to make those Social Security checks go a little further is the role of the PANTRY in letting our elderly know that they are not forgotten. The elderly who benefit often have limited ability to get out and engage with others. Sometimes their younger family members have moved out of the area.
St. Mark’s FOOD PANTRY allows us to honor our commandment to love our neighbors by assisting with nourishing their bodies, and it also allows us to feed their spirits. Likewise, in supporting the PANTRY either by participating financially or by assisting in acquiring and distributing food, we nourish our own spirits.
